Boston Calling 2019
I was asked by MediaBoss if I wanted to help out with the 2019 Boston Calling Music Festival. I joined the crew to help with their IMAG video display system in 2019 running the video switcher on the main stages for bands like 21 Pilots, Anderson .Paak, Tame Impala, and more.
BBH Bicentennial
I joined up with MediaBoss to create animations from photos and illustrations throughout the history of Brown Brothers Harriman's 200 years in business. BBH is the oldest privately owned bank in the United States.
WEEI "K" cards
In 2004 I created dozens of "K" cards that were handed out at Fenway Park during the historic 2004 Boston Red Sox season. These simple designs became very popular and can even be seen in the championship parade coverage in TIME magazine.
The Magic Mirror
PeopleFluent was excited to announce their new "Mirror" product. Leadership approached me to create something for their upcoming tradeshows. I designed and coded a piece of hardware that acted as a mirror until you stood in front of it, it would then turn into a video display. The device was built with a local wifi network which matched the device to an iPad wirelessly. The iPad could trigger a couple of other programs including a photobooth and a raffle winner announcer system.
Web-based Drone Synth
I've been in love with music my whole life, so I really wanted to dive into the webaudio API. Inspired by my modular synthesizer, I created a dual oscillator drone synth using the webaudio API. It features a powerful filter, a new approach to dual oscillation and a really fun microdelay control.
Polyrhythm in design
I've been drumming for about as long as I've been coding. In drumming you eventually discover the polyrhythm - essentially playing 2 or more rhythmic divisions at the same time. The result is something that sounds chaotic until the beats match back up. I call this "confusion dynamics" or using chaos for the purpose of later using resolve - a visual tension and release.

Point plot animation
Manipulating the display of algorithms and datasets is one of my favorite things to do. By leveraging some of these algorithms I was able to create an animation that cycles through a fun dynamic display of the plotted results.

Guitar Helper
As my brother would point out - I am definitely a drummer with a guitar, not a guitarist. I needed some help navigating the notes of the fretboard so I set out to understand the guitar through coding it. This pen is entirely html, css, and js and allows you to see how scales would be mapped to your unique tunings.

TWIABP guitar pedal
One of my hobbies is tinkering with electronic engineering, specifically as it pertains to guitar effects pedals. When I happened to get in contact with a friend of the band The World Is A Beatiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, I got the opportunity to make them a custom pedal, which I gifted to the guitarist at one of their shows. A little while later the guitarist would bring it out in an interview with Premier Guitar.
Dust Sculptures guitar pedal
I got a request from an artist named Dust Sculptures who wanted a custom pedal built to some pretty specific specifications. This pedal would encompass the relationship of 2 wonderful people who loved music and trains. Every control is named for a significant moment in their lives. The client is a videographer and created a beautiful video about the instrument. The artist organized the reveal so that the response from the recipient was fully captured.
LOVESYOU
Los Angeles based music producer Brett Sorrentino (Ghostbusters(2016), John Wick 3, Maniac) wanted a unique digital album cover for his LOVESYOU project. We discussed essentially abusing the pixel grid to create something completely different. We discovered that certain patterns would not exactly work properly with the pixel grid in most browsers. I created a custom illustrator brush to complete the effect, which seems to react to the grid and creates a wild animation effect on scroll or pinch.
